

Let's Celebrate Life Every Day
I'll
never forget that note our daughter wrote me
as a little girl: "I love you Dad, and I know you love
God and Jesus." Isn't that the way it's suppose to be?
First, in life, our children learn to love their parents.
Then they learn to love their parents' Bible. Finally,
they learn to love their parents' Savior.
This was also written by our daughter as she
reached the midpoint of her teen years:
FATHER AND FRIEND
It
seems like you've always been there for me,
Not as authority but as my friend.
Something inside you only I can see,
Like a noise in a whispering wind. -
My time spent with you has been worthwhile,
Especially the day of the baseball game.
You knew how to bring my face to smile,
It
makes me feel like a queen in her reign.
Overcoming the trials that we once had,
Inside of my heart I would always know,
A bond shared by a daughter and her dad,
So special that it would forever grow.
So to my father and my special friend,
All my blessings and love to you I send.
Without organizations such as Christian Homes of
Abilene (and in Arkansas, Childrens' Homes of
Paragould, and Southern Christian Home in Morrilton),
where would our "special" son and daughter be?
Would they have had a life, a name, or even a proper
burial? Probably not. The womb, which should be the
safest place in the world, could have become their
