those pioneers who stood in the breech (no pun
intended), the name of Nancy Miller will most certainly
be in the headlines. Amen?
Organizations like Christian Homes were built by
extraordinary efforts of a growing minority. The efforts
of these people have been, in three words: "Tre--Men-–
Dous!" The constituency of Christian Homes will be
forever in their debt. You might be mindful sometimes
-- in the office, in the store, at the bank, or at a
seminar -- of the debt you can't repay to
ye~erday,
but
can render only to tomorrow. Of course, you are under
no obligation to what the past has been.
Forget not that the men and women who shaped
yesterday also shaped today; but remember that

can shape tomorrow. Most people can easily ignore
any debt they might owe to the past. Some men and
women, however, feel a profound obligation to
yesterday and tomorrow. Maybe

are one of them!
America is the oldest living Republic.
Our
Constitution doesn't guarantee a good life, prosperous
life, happy life, or a long life -- just the protection of
life. We make of our lives what we will!
As
I have told

to us and us alone. We must use them and reinvent
