Xjng's 9vfen & Oege An Everlasting Impression Oege social club was formed in 1947 and named after the first initial of each of the four founders. The word " Oege" is now an acronym for obedience, efficiency, godliness and earnestness. The familiar rings symbolize unity. One activity that unified this club last year was the annual Red Cross blood drive. Oege President, Myleea Hill , listed the duties of the club as, "helping with registration, labeling bags, serving drinks and food, and giving moral support. " fortunately, all these responsibilities did not dampen the members' spirits. Jina Su Anderson said, "It gives you a good feeling being able to help everyone, even people you don ' t know. Besides, it is a great way to meet guys!" King's Men social club was founded in 1973. Their main service project was a trip to the Southern Christian Children 's Home in Morrilton. Club President Darren Mcintire, stated the purpose of the project was to, " spend the day with the kids while promoting a Christian attitude throughout the club. " Together, Oege and King's Men participated in what they called " Worship Tour '91. " They visited small congregations in the Searcy area once every month. They participated in this activity with the intent "to support the churches and visit with their members," remarked Dale Sheehy, devotional director. King's Men and Oege worked together throughout the year for the benefit of the community, as well as for the benefit of the club - ending the year with an everlasting impression.+ - Laurie Simmons TELL ' EM BROTHERI Here Stacey Ferrell accomplishes his task to get meri ts.
