Aging and Physical Challenges

This has been very hard on me because I have

always helped other people, and I love to do for others

whatever they need that I can do, but now I have had to

have help from other people, and I feel so worthless

because of this. But I am so thankful to those who have

helped me. I am better now than I have been in over

three years, so I have a lot of living yet to do. I need to

do all I want, but can only walk.

I will soon be 65. I can't believe that. That is getting

harder to deal with every day. I read this in a cartoon:

"Time really flies, so much to do, and so little time to do

it." I am really trying to do the things I want to do and

have never done, not knowing how many days I have

left on this earth. I am slower and cannot do all I plan

in_ a day. I am thankful for each day!

The aging process wasn't like I expected. There are

advantages and disadvantages in being young and

advantages and disadvantages in being old. I think

God for good health as I get ·older. When I was young,

I set a goal of building a house after the age of 60.

That was more than 20 years ago. I am presently

accumulating supplies.
