resident Ife c:oorchtor serves for fourteen years Katrina Timms, resident life coordinator, discusses current issues with the Resident Assistants of Pryor Hall at a weekly meeting while senior Traci Wagner looks on. Timms completed her 141h year of se~ing as a RLG, taking responsibility for 196 residents living in Pryor Hall. A RA while in college, Timms' past responsibilities prepared her lor her current responsibilities. ul was aRA in Sears Dorm for three years, and I was very close to my dorm mom,n Timms said. "Thus, I had a very good picture of what was involved, including the positive and the negative." Timmshas experienced several unusual momentsduring 14 years. "While'l was the dorm manager in West Marrieds, I woke up to head lights beaming in my window and footsteps running down the sidewalk. I jumped up and raced outside to see a guy running up the stairs to some apartment," Timms said. "It was four in the morning, and I yelled at him to stop. To my surprise, it was only the newspaper guy. My girls joked for months about their dorm mom saving them from the newspa– per man." Despite the stresses, Timms enjoyed her job. WI long for a good night's sleep and the house, garage and yard thing, but I would miss my daily interaction with my residents," Timms said. "I thrive on that."
