Wendy Frye - Plainfield, Ind. Sophomores Ryan Flint and Jason Stansell dart for the finish line in the Bison Stampede during Homecoming week. Dean Bawcom and Jostens Publishing sponsored the event, which was held in coordination with the Alumni Office. Between 30 and 40 people, many who were Harding students and alumni, ran in the race. The race was a 1OK run, whose path took the runners aroundtheHarding campus with the finish line at the Heritage Center. A $50 prize was awarded to the male and female winners of the 1OK run, and a $15 prize was awarded to the winners of the different age divisions. Junior Matt Quigley won the 1OKrace, running it in 36 minutes and 56 seconds. Alumnus Cliff Clark placed second in the race, but won the over-SO age division. A two-mile fun run around the Harding campus was also held for those who did not want to compete.
