Pi/(g,s & Chi-Os Sharing Common Interests Pi Kappa Epsilon was founded three years ago in the fall of 1989. As the fall semester president, Stacy Kymes stated, "Our members have an extremely high rate of participation in various activities." One of the main activities Pi Kappa Epsilon participated in this year was painting the playground equipment at the Sunshine School. The purpose for Pi Kappa Epsilon painting the equipment was to brighten the lives of the children and to get closer to each other in the process. Todd Traughber said, "It was a chance to get away from books and Harding. It was something that we could do to benefit someone else and we had a great time doing it!" Growing spiritually, strenthening friendships, and serving others were the primary goals for Pi Kappa Epsilon's sister club, Chi Omega Pi. In only its third year on campus, these women have become known for their assorted personalities which combine to form a unique spirit of unity. Always willing to serve others, Chi Omega Pi helped the Searcy community with its "Holiday of Lights" for their fall service project. In the spring the girls continued their annual tradition of helping the Sunshine School's Special Olympics. Chi Omega Pi also enjoyed participating in club sports and club devotionals. President Jane Norton feels confident: ' 'Chi Omega Pi has grown into a group of girls who will continue to serve others and grow stronger." Pi Kappa Epsilon and Chi Omega Pi are continuing to grow closer every year.
