Sometimes our color makes us really stand out, but what we really want people to notice about us is our desire to serve the Lord. Everything we do or accomplish is to the glory of God," said Roxi Toms, club president. The club started a new program with the help of Shannon Weldon, the orange crusher. Secret Sisters in the past was just within the club. This year they reached out to Ka Re Ta and Gata. Those interested were assigned "secret sisters." They would drop them a line of encouragement. Weldon said the program was just to let people know that they are in someone's prayers and that someone cares about them. She said, "It's a good way to get close to someone who isn't in the club." Secret sisters was just a simple way of service. Shantih's main concern was service. Amy Johnson added, "Serving others takes a lot of the attention off yourself. With all the stress of college life, it is easy to only be concerned with our own needs, becoming selfish. Service makes you aware of the needs of others, makes you appreciate the things you have, and it gives you a reprieve from your own concerns!". - Scott Baine NEED A HUG?
