Tacker serves during . senior year On every college campus there are those leaders who go the extra mile to enrich the lives of their fellow students, and one such individual at Harding was Jeff Tacker, the S. A. Spiritual Life Director. Tacker initiated a variety of activities in conjunction with his responsibilities as the Spiritual Life Director; Because of his leadership, he participated in the organization of the lily pool devotionals, the student lectureship, the "One Nation Under God" fund-raising, Spring Break campaigns, the prayer tour, and the senior spring retreat at Wyldewood. Tacker majored in Religious Education rather than Youth Ministry or General Bible because it, as he said, "gives a wide variety of classes including education, preaching, Greek, church growth, missions, and others that will give me a broader base from which to work with in my ministry." Tacker went to Africa on summer campaigns and hoped to further his missions experience by gaining some youth ministry experience before he graduated. He had a special interest in sharing his spirituality with other people, and so his goal as Spiritual Life director was to "encourage a spiritual atmosphere on campus through prayer sessions and other activities that would keep our hearts and minds focused on our real purpose.
