"I was so shocked!" said Sheryl. "I just never even thought I'd be nominated. " The other two nominees, Kellee Citty and Sandra Garner , served on the royal court along with freshman representative Courtney Cheynee, sophomore representative Evie Green , junior representative Jeanie Shipp, and senior representative Angela McDonough . Sheryl, a junior speech therapy major from Memphis, Tennessee, was especially happy that he.r father was able to serve as her escort in the procession. "It was such an exciting experience," she said. "It's something I know I won't ever forget ." Sheryl was asked what she remembered the most and what she enjoyed the most out of the entire event. "Well," she said, '1 remember how nervous I was in chapel the first time they presented us as nominees, but the most exciting part was finding out I'd won! Really, though, it was so special even to be nominated that being Queen was icing on the cake. ,4 ''Baby, What a Big Surprise!"
