AMERICAN STUDIES Fall tour includes visit to training camp of Cowboys The agenda of speakers for American Studies included such well known names as Dr. Richard Star, Dr. Waller Judd, Senator Henry Jackson, and Congressman Wilbur D. Mills. Highlights of the Dallas tour began with the visit to Braniff International headquarters. The group saw the General Motors car assembly plant, the Dallas Trade Mart, and finished the evening at a football game featuring the Dallas Cowboys against the New York Giants. The second day included stops at the local Heallh, Education, and Welfare office, a stock brokerage, a radiotelevision station, and the Cowboys' training camp, where they spoke with Lance Alworth, Coach Landrey, and Charles Harris. Tours of the IBM center, the First National Bank of Dallas, Sl. Paul's Hospital, and the Texas State Fair concluded the trip. In a trip to Chicago, the members stopped in Springfield to view Lincoln's home and tomb. In Chicago, the group visited the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mayor John Daley, and the Chicago Board of Trade. CASUALLY, Dr. Ben Rogge, Distinguished Professor of Political Economy at Wabbosh College and nationally known economist, speaks to those at the American Studies meeting. AMERICAN STUDIES.
