'ETIT JEAN DAY Tradition and dedication reveal annual surprises Secrets and surprises - those nice things of life that someone is always trying to keep while IOmcone is always trying to find out - are happy revelations of Petit Jean day when the year's annual is presented to the student body for their enjoyment and approval. This day is the culmination of a year's hard work - it is the editor's, the business manager's, the staff's, the queen's day. Honor for a job well done is bestowed upon school personali ties, a select teacher of the year, and upon yearbook staff members who have completed a long, but rewArding job. The '64 book, edited by Sandy Childers, was revealed in its gold brilliance during the month of May. Recipient of the dedication by the 1964 lenior class was Dr. James L. Atteberry Leighton Waters was business manager . Following the lovely ceremony in the large auditorium ensues a mad rush for various stations on campus where each student receives his copy of the book which becomes a favorite keepsake for the years ahead. Enjoying the page-by-page scrutiny of the year's pictorial diary, the students also enjoy the annual sack lunches while staff members attend • banquet closing an exciting year.
