PETIT JEAN J . N . ARMSTRONG M . A. . LL. D. Presi dent - Emeritus of Hardmg Col lege A s tudy of Dr . Armstrong ' s life revea ls a long line of service to the cause of Christian education. Born in Tennessee, he graduated from the Nashville Bible School , from which place he went to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he taught in the Bible school. He then went to Odessa, Cordell Christian College, Harper College, and Harding , being president of the last three schools. He was the first president of Hard ing College, which position he held for twelve years until hi s resignati on in 1936. Si nce that tjm ~ he has served as PresidentEmeritus and Dean of Bible.
