Winnie Bell Going Away Party

June 14, 2007 Dear Winnie, I am happy about this opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate you for your friendship, for your love of Christ's children, for your love of your family and for your service to Harding University. You are a truly exceptional personl I You have the ability to speak quietly and pleasantly and yet people respect you enough to listen and obey (most of the time - Hal). I cherish the times we traveled together to learn about updating the operation of the library to jump into the computer age. I enjoyed your stories of how you got started as a librarian and other tales. I enjoyed being in on the renovation of the library and getting the best library planner in the world to come and develop our library into a better place and more convenient and not have a flat roof! I believe everything he predicted came truel I am so pleased with the services provided by the library these days and the great staff and convenience. The administration is supporting it in a very good way. I remember bringing my checked out books back in a wheelbarrow one time because I had so many checked outl And I remember smelling the popcorn when you all had break time. I remember all the wonderful people who worked in the library and some of the characters who worked there also. I cherish the good times when you and Mildred and your Mom did things together and you helped them motivate to the car in a line - one holding on to the next. You are a sweet and fun friend and I can only wish God's richest blessing as we both look to the future. Thank you for your gift of friendship and your dedication to Harding and to your children that you took in and tried to give a good quality of life. With much love and loads of respect, tcl Ed Wilson
