are financial intermediaries that- put the
money to work out in the economy, creating
jobs, new·products, houses, etc.); and

Ninetypercent ofthe elderly retire in poverty.
(A huge misstatement! About 13 percent of
the elderly, and also 13 percent of the
general population, live in poverty. The
percentages have held constant, only
notching up or down 1-2 percent, for
decades).
Alas, the things we know that aren't so.
