Intergenerational Bonding
It should begin with a showing of genuine interest
and concern for all ages. Realizing -that all ages can
teach each of us something about how to deal with this
world will allow bonding to take place.

I love to read to children. I like to have them sit in a
semi-circle all around me so I can see their little faces
as they get involved with the stories.

Have less talking and more listening. Both the
young and the old need someone to take the time to
consider their wants and needs, and let them know that
they are loved.

Have money, kids always want it! Show genuine
interest in old people, they have many things of value
that they want to give away.

On the topic of intergenerational bonding, I have no
idea -- just caring and touching and being unafraid to
shed tears as well as fall on the floor laughing are all
great bonding experiences.

Try
to understand them, listen to what they have to
say. Don't put them down. Plan to do things together
as much as possible.
