True Religion and Inner Renewal
more "renewed" during a very "high" in my life or right
after a "crisis" that God has helped me through. The
renewal itself comes mainly from reading God's word,
prayer, and remembering the workings of God in my
life. It is so important to see God in nature, in all of His
creation, and to constantly thank Him for all He has
done. That truly renews me day by day.

With all the corruption of televangelism and
religiously war-torn countries, many earnest individuals
are asking what is true religion? They are seeking a
purified form, stripped from all the glitz, not adulterated
by power-mongering. James 1:27 says, "Religion that
God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to
look after orphans and widows in their distress and to
keep oneself from being polluted by the world." How
can I improve that concept?
Awareness is the key to success in any endeavor.
I believe the popular phrase of this generation for the
concept of being aware is involved in the notion of
"being focused." Athletes may improve their own
relationship to the game by seeking individual training
or coaching. Members of an orchestra are encouraged
to watch the conductor and become more aware of how
~
their part fits into the whole. In both the above

examples, practice, practice, practice increases the
focus. The same holds true for increasing spiritual
awareness. Hours and hours spent with the Word of
God, coupled with daily practice of its principles, is the
only way toward true awareness.
