able to discern right-from-wrong, wise-from–
unwise, good-from-bad, righteousness-from–
unrighteousness. It is important to remember
that the greatest of all gifts is the power to
estimate things at their true worth.
We want them to plan their lives to take
advantage of the uniqueness that church
leadership positions will provide them. We
want them to continue to develop their identity
with the Restoration Movement. We ask them
to accept their Brethren as well as they will
come to accept their mate -- not only because
of, but in spite of. Be partners with God in all
that you do.
All the while they are with us, we encourage
our young people to develop a set of
convictions that will guide them through any
situation or temptation. Be worthy -- not
worldly. Develop a quick conscience.
Going away to college gives our young
people a taste of
"Freedom!"
Freedom is a
great thing, but freedom isn't just the right to do
as we please. It is " ...
