Yes, retirement is when you
graduate into
a
brand new world

months of retirement are always

difficult period. It's when Berniece asks
Stan, "What in the world did you do all
day while I was at worl<?" And Stan will
answer, "Better."
This is
a
great time. You suddenly
realize that all those wonderful things
you didn't have
as a
child, didn't have
as a
teenager, didn't have
as
an adult,
and didn't have after the kids were
grown
--
you now won't have them in
retirement as well.
Berniece may be retiring at exactly
the right time because, with the
population growing older, experts
predict problems in the years ahead.
The Social Security Fund could be in
trouble again; Florida will be full; and
perhaps the most serious problem of
them all
--
a
worldwide shortage of
prune juice.
