Harding sends two students offwith the ARMY Sophomore Jason Darden speaks to students in chapel just days before leaving for basic training in Colorado. A special chapel service was held Oct. 11 for those in the military who had been called to serve the country overseas. Darden gave the devotional thought and called students "to hold to the one the thing that remains constant in our lives: God's word." Darden and senior Trey Harp, members of the Second Battalion, 153'd Infantry, were called to replace an army unit called elsewhere. The group was in Colorado for three months and then deployed to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. When they left in October, the group still did not know exactly what they would be doing in Egypt. Harp said he was ready to help wi~h the war against terrorism. "This is a benefit to me so we can find justice," he said. "This is what I can do for my country." Carla Davis- Abbeville, Miss.
