The series of lectures was attended by 2,000 guests, four hundred of whom were housed in dormitory rooms and in homes of faculty members and other town residents. The highlights of the lectureship week, in addition to the close fellowship, were outstanding speeches, panel discussions, daily Bible classes and choral presentations. Thanksgiving day, with a huge barbecue for all, signified the end of the lectures with concluding addresses by Otis Gatewood and Marshall Keeble. Reprinted from Petit Jean 1958-59
