Junior defensive specialist Katherine Cowart said she and the older players stepped into leadership roles. "We always try to lead by example on and off the court," Cowart said. "The transition from high school to college can sometimes be pretty rough, so we have done our best to be available to the younger girls whenever they need us." Because there were no seniors on the team, all of the members were expected to return for the 2020 season. After a successful season, Fear said the players' return was something she and the assistant coaches looked forward to. "They have to go through experiences to be able to use them later," Fear said. "Something we are all excited about for the future and next year is that we had a great record overall.
