On Oct. 31, 2018, in a meeting with senior Madison Ramsey, the Petit Jeanyearbook organizations editor, Dr. Michael Claxton, associate professor ofEnglish, emphasizes the unique roleoforganizatiomns on campus. Claxton encouraged students to find the organization thatfueled their creativity during their short time at Harding. Claxton served as a sponsor for Souvenirs, Harding's poetry club, and Sigma Tau Delta, the English honors society; he also served as a regular guest writer for The Bison newspaper. 279
