Gata hosts an al\igator-and-greenthemed table at open house on Sept. 9. During club week they did different club cheers to Lady Gaga songs, including "Bod Romance" and "Poker Face." Abby Kellett Closer than sisters "M" . lrror, mirror on the wall, will I get a bid at all?" The women's social club GATA had their new members perform a play during the 2010 club week. GATA inductee, sophomore Amanda Hourt, who played the Evil Witch in their original production, "Snow White Pledge Week," found the role "odd but invigorating." "This was my chance to be bad, and make everyone love me all the more for it," Hourt said. (Q 0 -+ 0 In the play, Snow White is joining GATA only to meet up with the Evil Witch who attempts to thwart her efforts by tricking her into breaking club week rules. With the help of some dwarves and "Beau Charming," Snow White overcomes the witch and walks off into the sunset; much like the GATA's new members, who followed all of the rules and finally became GATA gators. Abby Kellett DE}finitio~ . or Brotnerhood .. Sub T-16, \ounded in 1924, was one of Harding's oldest social clubs, and members took pride in upholding its 86 years oftradition. Senior Jeffrey ~e~o said he believed the real legacy of Sub Twas the lifelong friendsh"Ws he formed with other members. While Zern was a freshman going through the club process, he faced a difficult time when his father passed away. At his father's funeral, Zern was surprised to see a large floral arrangement sent from the members of Sub T with a card signed by each individual member. "They let me know that they care about me and that they were thinking about me," Zern said. "And so that's how I was initially drawn to them." As a member, Zern worked with Sub T on a service project called Monthly Memories, in which the club performed service acts such as visiting nursing homes, singing Christmas carols and raking yards in order to further cement their ties to each other and to the community. "It's this lifelong never-ending friendship," Zern said about his brotherhood. Cabrtelle Prulff club profiles 2 57 ~
