Bound in h Fait & Love While many clubs on campus dated back decades, Zeta Pi Zeta was only Inducting its second class in 2010. But that was not stopping the new club on campus from making history. I And were Marching! Two words could describethewomen'ssocial club KoJo Kai: Kojie. Rumble. What's that you say? I said the Kojie Rumble, one of the most renowned club chants at Harding. "There are no words to explain its magnitude," sophomore and member Paige London said. The Kojie Rumble was a crowd favorite at the all-club devotional each year during club week, with club members linking arms in a line or in a circle to stomp and yell alternating parts of the chant, "Let me hear your Kojie Rumble!" followed by, "What's that you say?" and on and on. "It is a classic," sophomore Nina Dowell said. "The rumble is such a fun tradition." Freshman Bethany Landry said the Rumble connected her to the long history of Ko Jo Kai. "I am a third generation Kojie member, so tradition means a lot to me," Landry said. "When I think of the Kojie Rumble, I think of Kojies' heart and soul. I am proud to be a member of a club with such tradition." While no one was exactly sure how long the Rumble had been around, the members were sure it would continue to shake up club week for many more years to come. It was tradition for the inductees to wear red lipstick and the lady bug antennas all week long. Ashe/ Parsons N CD -+ 0 u -· N CD Zeta Pi Zeta left its mark during club week with a clever idea that included members who were at overseas programs. According to junior and vice president Jessica Dennison, Zeta Pi Zeta had f1ve members overseas with international programs during the fall, so in order for the inductees to get to know the missing members, the inductees were asked to carry around cardboard cutouts of each girl to the evening activities and to the all-club devotional. Dennison said each figure had facts about the girl on the back that inductees had to memorize. The cutouts withstood some trauma during the week, however, with one figure losing an arm, while another cutout "went barefoot" Though it seemed like just a goofy club week activity, Dennison said the point was to exemplify Zeta Pi Zeta's sisterhood. "We tried to make sure that even though these girls were gone, they could still be a part of club week."
