I looked out my window and down below were members of Chi Sigma Alpha serenading the girls' dorms with Christmas songs. So what was this tradition all about? Supporting_ . The1r Sisters Every Thursday morning, beginning atsa.m., several g;rls from Ju Go Ju gathered together at Midnight Oil coffee shop to participate in what they called "Thursday Morning Devo." "We usually have a pretty good turnout," sophomore Katelyn Lammons said. "We order coffee and bagels and gather around the table together." Led by senior devo director Sarah Antczak, the devotional was a time for the girls to pray together and open up about their lives. "It's a really special time that I love to have with the girls in my club, even if it's a small group, because we can be open and honest with one another," Lammons said. Lammons frequently attended the devotional along with anywhere from 10 to 20 of her Ju Go Ju sisters. The devotional was not only a time of fellowship, but also a time of growmg their faith. All the girls felt so uplifted by the devotional, including senior Adrienne Bryant "It is so encouraging," Bryant said. "It is so early and hard to get up some times, but it is such a good way to start your morning off." "For this rare and special occasion, Harding allows our club to serenade outside the windows and in the courtyards, singing tidings of the most wonderful time of the year." Junior Michael Starks also saw the uniqueness ofthis holiday tradition . "Seeing that we are the only club that does this makes it more special," Starks said. "It really is something the girls enjoy and look forward to." So ladies, where were you when the clock stroke twelve the night the Chi Sigs went caroling? Hopefully you were in your dorm room, patiently awaiting the jingling of the car keys and the spreading of Christmas cheer.
