Every Tuesday the Honors House provided a chili lunch for honors students to eat and fellowship with one another. Sears Honors Center was built in 1950 and served as a private residence until purchased by Harding. It housed female students for a time and was later used for storage. The house was completely remodeled inside and out during the spring of 2005 and now houses offices for the Honors College, Honors Symposium and International Programs. The facility was named in honor of L.C. Sears and his legacy.
