Noah Darnell The Ulrey Performing Arts Center, named for Dr. Evan Ulrey, retired chair of the communication department, was dedicated on Nov. 1. Ulrey was a 1946 graduate of Harding University and returned in 1950 as chairman of the communication department. Under his direction, a theatre major was formed, encouraging many students to perform on stage in a myriad of productions.
