[Craig Rainbolt] fyi • Cross country coach Steve Guymon was named the Gulf South Conference’s Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year by the GSC women’s cross country coaches. Guymon had received this honor for three consecutive years. • The Lady Bisons won their third consecutive conference title at the GSC’s Women’s Cross Country Championship defeating Alabama-Huntsville 32-31, the closest finish in GSC history. Senior runner Janee Jones finished with a time of 18:08 to earn GSC Individual Medalist honors for the second consecutive year. • Junior James Cheruiyot won the men’s GSC Individual Championship at the conference’s Men Cross Country Championship for the second time in the past three year with a time of 25:23.
