"I thought he had died ... but when Iread the e-mail, it said he had been baptized at ayoung singles' retreat:' TESS WHITE///SENIOR student body was made up of an eclectic group of students with a variety of experiences. While some moments affected a few years, others left an impression on lives. Others decided an eternity. Getting invited to become a part of the social club she wanted was a moment that mattered to freshman Mallory Breshears. She admired the women she was going to spend her college years with, she said. "I got so excited when I got the bid for Ko Jo Kai," Breshears said. "I knew I was going to make great new friends." Sophomore Ian Lee said his family's adoption of a young girl this year was a experience that would influence the rest of his and his family members' lives. "A moment that mattered to me was seeing, for the first time, a gift from God in the smile of my little sister adopted from China," he said. Getting engaged to SA President Jimmy Huff was an important, life-changing moment for chapel secretary Susan Berry. "It was a big commitment that I was excited to make," she said. For senior Tess White, a friend's decision to become a Christian was a highlight of her year. The moment she learned that he had given his life to the Lord, she knew his eternity had been changed. "I got an e-mail from my dad, and the subject was 'Seb: my friend's name," White said. "I thought he had died, because he did things that could get him hurt. But when I read the e-mail, it said he had been baptized at a young singles' retreat." -L~UREN CANDY, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF 325 - CLOSING
