Although America led the world in the war against terrorism, the ultimate goal was peace. "As our nation moves troops and builds alliances to make our world safer, we must also remember our calling as a blessed country is to make this world better," Presi– dent George Bush said, in the State of the Union Address, Jan. 30. Some students at Harding agreed with the president's Bush planted his feet on the philosophy of stopping terrorIsm. "We have the terrorists on the run," he said. "We're keeping them on the run. One by one, the terrorists are learning the meaning of American justice." The U.s. governmentmoved toward bringing the world one step closer to peace. "As we fight this war, we will remember where it began-here, in our own country," Bush said.
