Although disap– pointing losses to Henderson State University and Delta State University kept Harding out of the NCAA Division II playoffs, the season stood as the most successful since 1972. "The chemistry is better this year," sopho– more Tobias Brown said . "Last year everyone was worried about their sta ts, but this year we are about just winning." For the first time in years, Harding ranked in the top 25 teams in the Gulf South Conference. ''It was very exciting and productive to be able to p lay on a winning team for my first year of college ball," freshman Izzy Fieilo said. "I enjoyed playing with this group of guys and es pecially with my cousin [senior ] Tulo [Lolohea]." A loss to Henderson State Oct. 19 dampened the spirits of the team, but the Bisons came back with a win against Arkansas-Monticello Oct. 26, Homecoming weekend. Although the team lost its top 25 ranking, the Bisons still hoped to make it to the playoffs. ''I'm very happy to be on the team this year, being able to play with fri ends and winning," sophomore Tank Daniels said. Ten players earned All-GSC Honors, one more than the team received in its first two GSC sea– sons combined . Seniors Chad Eason and Floyd Black, junior Tim Love and sophomore Tim Polk received first team honors. Seniors Robert Lolohea, Jamie Doyle and Errick Wilson and juniors Freddie Langston, Justin Beller and Coy Nance earned second team honors. Although the Bisons didn't make it to the playoffs, players remained pleased with the sea– son. "I'm sad that this is my final year to play, but I'm happy that my senior year was a winning season," Lolohea said. The Bisons defeated rival Ouachita Baptist University Nov. 16 to end the season with a winning game.
