The show aired each Tuesday on TV 16. Students involved hoped to minister tothe Hispanic community in Searcy. "We discuss topics in a forum style," senior Dulce Aguirre said. ''The topics have a Christian focus and we give opinions based on the Bible." The show also featured Christian skits, re· gional news coverage and sports. "The title of the show, 'La Red,' means 'the net,'" Aguirre said. "Like in the Bible, we hope to be fishers of men." Senior Claudia Ramirez said she and her friends thought of the idea during their sopho– more year. "I know of another university that has a Span– ish news program," Ramirez said.
