Photo by Jeff Montgomery 'LuTLOOK The Lady Bisons basketball team struggled this season, but grew as individuals from the lessons learned. "We learned to rebound from every difficult circumstance," senior Kendra Bell said. "We had to learn to overcome all of our losses." The Lady Bisons finished the season at 10-16 overall, 4-12 in the Gulf South Conference. Wright topped off the season by being part of the conference top 10 in free-throw percentage, threepoint field goals made and threepoint percentage. Due to the time the girls spent together, they shared a strong bond this year. "Our friendships are great on and off the court," freshman Saretha Jackson said. "We not only spent time together in the locker room and on the court, we did things other than play basketball together. We ate and lived together. It was pretty awesome." During the season, the Lady Bisons had a busy schedule, with practice every day and two or three games a week. Since they had to juggle, their schedules, many of the team members used the season as a learning ex- _., perience. "We played hard this season and had a lot of individual success," junior guard Julie Wright said. "Next year our expe- - "It was a maturing process," Jackson ~~~....,~ · said. Although the team struggled this year, the Lady Bisons were known for the chemistry they shared on and off the court. "Our team has strong unity," junior Heather Lawrence said.
