Regina members nominated seniors who, in their opinion, reflected the attitude of Christ throughout their careers at Harding. Snow was a member of Ko Jo Kai social club, where she had served as devotional director and service project director. She was also a member of JOY Club and SALT. However, she said her greatest accomplishment while at Harding was her involvement with campaigns. "I've learned how to reach out to other people," Snow said. Cloer supported the students' choice of Snow for the award. "She doesn't do things because she's expected to," he said. "She does things because she wants to." Cloer, amemberofTNTsocialclub, served this year as Student Association President. "Serving as SA President, I learned that true service comes out of humility," Cloer said. As SA President, Cloer had many opportunities to speak in front of the student body. "Often times we see our classmates speak in chapel with one personality and then as soon as they leave the stage they put on a different personality," Snow said. "With Steve that's not the case. Steve is very consistent and passionate in everything he does." Both Cloer and Snow were surprised when they learned of receiving the award. "This was shocking," Snow said. "I didn't think people even knew who I am. I don't really know why they honored me with this-there are so many other people more deserving than I was." After graduating in May, Cloer and Snow planned to marry in June. Cloer and Snow had some advice to share with the students they left behind after graduation. "Take advantage of the spiritual opportunities at Harding," they said. Snow wanted to remind students to stay in God's word. "Fix your eyes on what is unseen and eternal," she said. "It's easy to get involved in a lot of good activities here. Don't let yourself get too busy. Always remember to spend time reading the Word." regina spirit award 241
