Harding cares about the social and physical well being of each of its students. In addition to required physical education classes, there were a number of resources available to students who wished to work out or just have a fun time with friends. For example, Harding offered a wide variety of extra curricular sports activities. Intramurals built friendships along with health and were a good way to release stress and anxiety that built up with the heavy class loads. In addition, social clubs competed in sporting events. Sports include football, softball, basketball, swimming and more. Students competed energetically in these sports, hoping to win the all-sports champion trophy. There were a number of ways students could also take care of their health professionally. All services were free to enrolled students. This included such services as counseling for students who needed help sorting out psychological or emotional problems. Harding also provided full-time nurses and workers who aided students during the semester. Harding's focus is to help its students be as well rounded as possible and this includes the social, emotional and physical health of those attending the University.
