Then the senior class votes for one male and one female to receive the Regina Spirit Award. This year the senior class chose Kendra Parker and Jeremy Post to receive the honor. "The Regina Spirit Award is the way we honor two seniors who have made an outstanding .impact on their peers by having an attitude and example of service," senior Fawnda Elliott, presidentofRegina social club, said. Parker, a social work major from Ft. Smith, Ark., was co-director of Student Impact this year, but she served the Lord in other ways as well. "Kendra has always been a servant," Post said. "One of the best qualities about Kendra is how quiet she is about the service she does. She never does it for show. 1 think she's also interested in people's needs and has a listening ear. Kendra is truly deserving of the award." Parker mentioned her brother, her social club Delta Gamma Rho and Dee Carson as being influential people in her Christian walk. Although Parker was happy to receive the award, she was even happier that Post received it. "I was so excited that Jeremy got the award," she said. "He's a good friend ofmine, and1think he deserved it. " Post is a biochemistry major from Hendersonville, Tenn., and he has taken advantage of opportunities to serve God as well. From leading a spring break campaign and teaching Bible classes atBradford church ofChrist totalking with a friend about their concerns, Post has tried to portray Christ in his life. "Anyone can see the attitude that Jeremy has for service, and his desire to strengthen others isobvious," Elliott said. "His focus is on serving others, and he's concerned about how his decisions affect others. He has a selfless spirit." -Rachel McCuiston
