Social clubs on campus strove to serve as Christ would call them to. This year Ko Jo Kai worked with Tender Years, a home for older people. A group of 10 girls went every week to visit with the elderly people. "We sang songs and had a prayer with the people there," sophomore Ko Jo Kai member Lindsey Davison said. Zeta Rho members participated in the Race for the Cure in Little Rock to help with breast cancer research. During pledge week Chi Sigma Alpha and Regina had an egg toss to raise money for David Dyche, a former member of Chi Sigma Alpha who was diagnosed with cancer. "Class one members sponsored pledges with five dollars each to participate," senior Regina member Melissa Williamson said. Members ofChi Omega Pi went to the River Oaks retirement home to paint elderly womens' finger nails. "They love it when we come," senior Jennifer Hutchinson said. "We like to just sit, visit and play cards with them." TNT took inner city children to the Little Rock Zoo. Every year the men of TNT do this service project as their fall function. "We buy them lunch and take them to the zoo," junior Jason Monaghan said. "It is good for us to get out of our comfort zone and see how others live." Kappa Sigma Kappa's annual service project was to clean a section of Beebe Caps Boulevard. Twice a semester they picked up trash on the side of the road. About 75 percent of the club went to help with this each time. "I think it is great that we have been able to get such great participation in this service project," senior Tim Johnston said.
