Functions about nothing, Christmas functions, formal functions, mud ball functions, river boat functions - the list goes on and on. TNT held their annual fall function in which guys go with their dates and pick up inner city children and take them to the Little Rock Zoo. "It is neat to have a function and service project all in one," senior Jeremy Picker said. "You can spend time with your date while serving God." This year many clubs had Halloween themes. These functions usually included a hayride, food and fun. This year Shantih had a big "Shebang." The girls prepared food and took it to a farm for a picnic. They also played games and made s'mores. Delta Gamma Rho had a lazer tag/ go-cart function. This function was a big hit with the guys. "We could play lazer tag or ride go carts as much as we wanted to," junior Hope Smilor said. Knights held their second "Dragon Roast" function. "We ate turkey legs and drank root beer out of frosted mugs," junior Robby Day said. Omega Lambda Chi planned a sleep-over at their sponsor's house. "It was just a time to have fellowship with the girls in our club," senior Sue Anne Carson said. Titans, Pikes and Omega Sigma sponsored Octoberfest in the fall. The three clubs competed in outdoor games, skeet shooting and fishing. The function was held at a local farm, and the only girls who were invited were the queens. "The function gave the three clubs a chance to get together and have some guy time," senior Sam Sanders said. "Omega Sigma won the competition, they are the outdoor masters." Functions were a time to relax, have fun and fellowship with other members. - Jody Knight Seniors Lisa Wilson and Jon Singleton pose after going to Murry's Dinner Theater in Little Rock.
