2000-2001 Yearbook

Advanced Degree Graduate student Robert Channing listens to class discussion in one of his marriage and family therapy classes. Graduate students had a number of resources at their fingertips to use during their time at Harding. Along with having the ability to access all of Harding's book catalogs, graduate students could also access the library at the Memphis graduate school. Interlibrary loans allowed students to locate and acquire practically any book in print. In less than a week, the Brackett Library could give any student what he or she needed to complete a class requirement. In addi-' tion to all this, the library had a number of on-line catalogs. Through these resources, students could peruse thousands of on line articles. Harding was devoted to updating their technological information. The Brackett Library was staffed with knowledgeable workers who were able to assist students who had questions or concerns about his or her work. Many students entered graduate school straight out of the undergraduate studies. However, others decided to start a family and return at a more convenient time. Some students had full time jobs during the day and took classes at night. Taking graduate courses was not the easiest goal to accomplish and any student who desired a higher education worked hard to achieve it. Photo by Daniel Dubois. David Alexander-Memphis, Tenn.
