Freshman Class Officers The Class of 2004 elected in September president Jennifer Robinson (right), vice president Kristin Organ and secretarytreasurer Mandy Warren (not pictured) to lead them as class officers during the 2000-2001 school year. While most students see the first semester of college as a time to relax and avoid homesickness, these freshmen decided to go beyond the norm and run for class office. Working as a freshman class officer provided a way for the students to be involved with their classmates as well as the university's faculty and staff members. They worked together with the Student Association for the benefit of the class of 2004. Some of the goals the officers established were to get the freshman class as involved as possible and bridge the gap between students and the administration in decision making processes. The freshman officers brought in fresh ideas and different perspectives due to the different backgrounds they came from. "I wanted to get involved in the SA to get to know more people," Warren said.
