Seniors Hank Bingham and Mike Godknecht playa game ofcards with sophomores KyleJohnson andBryan Burleson while waiting in line for Mikhail Gorbachev tickets. Many students waited outside the Benson Auditorium after chapel until the doors were opened to give out tickets at 3 p.m. Students brought chairs to sit in, books to study or read, played cards and visited. Though many still thought it was a long wait, they all thought that it was well worth it. Because of the 75th anniversary, many speakers were sought to celebrate Harding and its history. The American Studies Institute also· brought prestigious speakers such as John Majors and James Dobson, but it was Gorbachev who attracted the most attention. All were prominent speakers and each was graciously welcomed. OJ. Johnson - Warner Robins, Ga. Dustin Johnson - Sherwood, Ark. Jeff Johnson - Sherman, Texas Micah Johnson - E1 Dorado, Ark.
