Former SA presidents Nate Mellor and Rich Little observe students from the Mclnteer balcony. Many who had served Harding as SA president stayed on to serve in other ways as well. President David Burks himself was SApresident during his senior year at Harding. His love for Harding while a student stayed with him throughout his life, as did his desire to see Harding grow and prosper. Other SA presidents included Little, who continued his involvement with Harding as assistant to the president and Bible lecturer; Mellor, who stayed on as a graduate student; and Ryan Sorrell, who was finishing his senior year. Although they did not hold the title of SA president anymore, their leadership was still felt and appreciated, though often accompanied by teasing about staying at Harding forever (or at least until they found wives).
