Senior class officers Spencer Otto (president), Kristen Meredith (vice president) and Yuette Ellis (secretary-treasurer) served their class this year. Representing the senior class was a special honor given to those whose reputation during their first three years at Harding qualified them for the role ofa servant leader their fourth year. Unlike freshmen officers who had only a few weeks to make acquaintances and win votes, seniors had the advantage of knowing their constituents well. Three years of classes, clubs and all kinds of extracurricular activities helped them make the friendships that won them votes . For the same reason, winning senior officer elections was more difficult at times. Freshmen might have been able to depend on catchy slogans and brightly colored posters, but seniors had to have demonstrated a day-to-day attitude of servant leadership throughout their first three years.
