Harding experience equips students for the challenging days to come "It's Great To Be At Harding!" This slogan, which adorns bright yellow buttons and is often used throughout the school year, is one that exemplifies the student body's view oflife at Harding University. As we finish this school year and leave to experience long hours of work, trips to amusement parks and family vacations, we each carry with us a personal vision of the "Harding experience." Many ofus will walk away from this university with memories ofclub functions, football games, late-night pizza parties in the dorm and long lines in the cafeteria. What we haven't captured in our memories will sometimes be revisited as we thumb through old photo albums and scrapbooks. The pictures and stories in this yearbook, while intended to capture the year at Harding, represent only a portion of the opportunities and adventures the student body has encountered. As many of us enter into the next phase of our lives, it will be the memories and photographs we escape to, at times, to try to recapture the portion of our life spent here. Late-night phone calls, devotionals given during chapel, crazymemories oftime spent with roommates and lessons learned in the classroom will help each ofus as we dive into work experiences and future opportunities. Realizing that the relationships and experiences we built during our "Harding experience" will help us in the days to come, we must hope in the Lord in order to have our strength renewed. Then, the promise in Isaiah 40:31 will become our own personal experience: "They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." It truly has been "Great to be at Harding!" Heather Henson Index 285
