A large group of students, many of them international, met on Wednesday and Friday afternoons to play this increasingly popular sport. For many who had never seen American football before arriving at Harding, playing soccer reminded them ofhome. These soccer games drew a large and varied audience including students from many nationalities and both genders. Competition was friendly but spirited. Encouragement could be heard shouted in English, Spanish and other languages. At times, so many players wanted to participate that they had to alternate. Soccer fans were very loyal to their sport. "This is real football," Gabriel Pineda said, "the kind you actually play with your feet!" Photo by Aaron Gillihan. Mona Trickey - Sherwood, Ark. Amy Tunstall - Acworth, Ga.
