1995-1996 Yearbook

The thirst of OMPETITION Harding's intercollegiate athletic program had a bumpy ride during this year of transition. Without a conference to call its own, the Bisons looked for the stiff competition that the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference had brought them. Withstanding the challenge and frustration of not having a conference, the Bisons played each game to its fullest potential. The players kept a clear view of their goal and worked hard to achieve it throughout the regular season and into tournaments. The Bisons have had a tradition of excellence, and this year was no exception. Each athlete believed in himself or herself, and the level of competition was at an all-time high. Whether it was kicking a football, serving a tennis ball or bumping a volleyball, each athlete's determination created an outstanding record for Harding University sports. The teams proved that a sense of belonging did not inhibit excellence and that any unfortunate outcome could not spoil a season. The Harding University faculty and student body supported all of the athletic teams, pushing each one to a high level of competition. As in other years, personal determination, school spirit and Christian sportsmanship characterized the Bisons.
