They can grow from the experience, or they can suffer. Sometimes, however, no matter how they strive to change with the flow, their circumstances change too rapidly for them to keep up. The social club system has been undergoing change during the lastfewyears, and each club has had to adapt in its own way. While the recent reforms in the social club system have had many positive aspects, they have also had their casualties: the disbanding ofAlpha Gamma Omega, Lambda Sigma and Phi Delta, three of Harding's oldest clubs. With the changes in the club system, many social club members felt that larger clubs began to gain popularity while smaller clubs were often overlooked. They attributed this, in part, to not getting as many members "off the table"-the old system in which new members who did not get their first choice clubs received a bid from another club. In recent years, smaller clubs had received a large induction class by taking these new members, along with their first-choice inductees. Theta Beta Kappa.
