Continued Revisions Members pleased with return to one-week commitment Round four was another visitation round in which the prospective members visited the upperclassmen in an effort to narrow their options. The students were invited to visit four clubs during this round. On October 16, the prospective club members voted in their dorms at curfew, prioritizing their top four choices. Voting was another change in the procedure; last year, it seemed that many students forgot to or could not go to the Student Services Office to vote during business hours. RA's helped freshmen and transfers fill out their ballots, ahd then the votes were given to student services. The new students' first-choice cards were later given to respective club presidents, and the clubs once again voted on their new members. Bids were presented to the new class II members by their resident assistants on Sunday afternoon, October 29. The optional welcome receptions were held immediately following the distribution of bids, and the week-long commitment phase began that evening with an orientation meeting. Excitement for the return of the week-long commitment phase was obvious among all students. Ellen Fowler, Kappa Gamma Epsilon member, said, "Last year's commitment phase seemed almost more trouble than it was worth. I'm glad to see the return of the one-week process." - Katy White GATA.
