1995-1996 Yearbook

Continued Revisions Changes made again in club induction process Social club induction processes were in the second year of the changes begun in the fall semester of 1994. Revisions for this season of induction activities were significant, positive and easier on both club members and the prospective members, but not as overwhelming as the changes that occurred in the 1994-95 school year. . Club orientation actually began during Student Impact, when a power session for incoming students was held to inform prospective members of their options regarding social club membership. Other informational meetings, such as freshmen chapels, served the same purpose. Jenny Behel, a freshman involved in the induction process, felt things got a little confusing towards the end. "I wish there could have been more announcements in the dorms or in chapel about when everything was going on. It got really hectic towards the end, and it was hard to remember what happened and where," she said. The traditional Open House allowed new students to view all of the social clubs in a single, two-hour showcase. This was the students' first personal experience with entire clubs. Women's Open House was held September 2 in the morning and men's Open House was in the afternoon of the same day in the New Gym. Alpha Tau Epsilon.
